Experience Goldsmith - Self-employed - 1972 to Present

Trained by Vaughn Neeley at the age of 17 at the Cortez Silver Co.
to do production fabrication of silver rings, bracelets, belt buckles,
pendants, earrings. ect. after about a year I bought my own equipment
and started working from home, I then bought a lapidary and started
to cut my own stones. I sold my Jewelry in a Galleria in New Jersey
for about a year while working out of my home. I moved to Ca. and did
production work for George Deeb and then Wild Bear Trading Co.
Then in the San Fernando Valley I did custom work for the Saguao
Trading co. And a company called Something Silver. I manufactured a
line of Blue coral and sterling for Kay Lee enterprises. In 1980 I went
to the Antelope Valley College to learn casting . I joined the Antelope
Valley Gem and Mineral Club and became a rock hound of sorts and
added to my lapidary skills. In 1995 I went to work for Hodgskins
Jewelers where I did repair work of broken jewelry and custom jewelry.
Later on I did piece work for Don Lucas in Bakersfield. In 2003 I
attended the Revere Academy of Jewelry Arts in San Francisco, Ca.
I Graduated with a Graduate Jeweler Diploma. I then got my certification
as a JA Bench Jeweler. While at the Revere Academy I also took classes
on Chasing and Repousse, Granulation, Kum Boo, and Plique-a-jour
Enameling. I also joined the San Leandro Gem and Mineral Club and
learned to do a little faceting of stones.
